Wanna stay on Spring Break
03.30.06 (9:21 pm)   [edit]
Man! Spring Break is almost over. Much like the last break I don't feel like i did half the things I wanted to do. I doubt there will be time to do them later.

Yeah...

I really hope that I passed that paper.

God.

Going to the highly-booked zoo that has pushed my date to a Sunday tomorrow to see if it's worthy of my wedding.

I don't want to go back to that place!!!
(School, not the zoo).

Got a Wedding Dress
03.27.06 (10:11 pm)   [edit]
So yeah, this morning my mom and I went to David's Bridal, and walked out with a dress on order.
Yeah, weird...sorta.

Buying a wedding dress is like buying a computer. You buy a computer, and you get a great deal on it. But you just can't have a computer. You need to buy an operating system, and the microsoft office crap, and stuff to make the internet work. None of these things are nearly as expensive as the computer itself but are expensive enough that they add up in a big way.

We got a good deal on the wedding dress. But then you have to buy shoes, veils, underwear, headbands/tiarras...all of which are not as expensive as the dress but...yeah you see where I'm going...

So for all you expiring minds out there, this is what it looks like:
If you want a better look go here.

It's really bothering my mom that I am wearing my ring on my right hand. Because I honestly do not believe that there is another wedding ring and that this is it and because somewhere things got really stupid and confusing Jeremy already has his ring on his right finger too (I'm really new at this whole getting married thing) and we just agreed we'd switch which is completely unacceptable because I need to have two rings and I know when Jeremy gets here she is going to say something to him and it's going to be dumb.

Evidentally one of the days I'm thinking about for my wedding is kelly's birthday. (Shit!) Which is completely due to circumstances beyond my control and maybe she won't be too much of a drama queen about it.

Wish it were summer
03.27.06 (9:22 am)   [edit]
It feels like summer. I mean, I know it isn't because it's not even 60 degrees outside. But it's balmy, and I don't have to go to school for a little while.

Enjoy it while it lasts.

I think I am going to go look at wedding dresses today. It was surreal last time I did it. It was like somebody had badly photoshopped my face onto a gorgeous and completely unmatched dress.

Let the Fun Begin
03.26.06 (4:25 pm)   [edit]
So yesterday I went to a real, honest to goodness tidepool and while attempting to climb up on a rock, hurt my leg and my digital camera fell into a puddle at shoulder height in the rock and has refused to work ever since.

Yeah, I feel like crap...
Maybe it's still under warranty...

And the wedding fun has begun!

I feel like in life, but especially with weddings there are things that "people just do" like buy more than one ring, and have tons of flowers, and not get married in zoos. Yet nobody seems to really know why flowers or anything else is important "It's just how it's done."

It's easy to get irritated with this attitude, nobody questioning things. However, I suppose I might be guilty of this when I agree with whatever the status quo is (no examples leap to mind). However, I hope I don't beg the question if someone asks, "But why do you do it this way?"

There are no good wedding invitations with a jungle theme but tons with a cowboy theme.

Hellacious Week
03.24.06 (10:49 pm)   [edit]
It's been a hellacious week which I have half-assed.
I had a completed Maya character due, I only did half of it. (You're supposed to make one half, copy it, reverse the copy bind the two halves together).
I did not even attempt to work on my graphite tidepool rendering.
I was working on the research paper that the survey was for until after class started and didn't include an appendix. I should send my resarch to Fox to tell them what idiots they were for cancelling Futurama.
Thanks again to everyone who participated in the survey!
I did not study figure drawing at all this week.

And my mom thought I wanted to get married in September 2007. She responded with "Oh my god...oh my god..." And went on to say that in six months "All we could have was hot dogs and hamburgers in the backyard."
Knowing that even if this is what I most desired, she would never allow it. So I'm going to so call her bluff!

I got an e-mail from a friend of mine from Disney World who I haven't heard from in a long long time.

I really wanted to go bar hoping tonight. I haven't been able to have any fun for about two weeks. A lemon drop from O'Flarety's sounds killerrrrr. As does the whole socialization outside of this apartment. That's the crappy thing about having only three friends and done of them being a flake.

Seems like there was something else I wanted to say...

Oh, I remember! I haven't gone grocery shopping in a long time so there is nothing substantial to eat or drink in my apartment which is special.

Last night Jeremy and I had a very romantic night together in which we ate a home-cooked dinner by the light of a lamp on my kitchen table and watched a movie together on the couch.

The last thing anyone on campus said to me was, "Have a break." How true, especially since I have so many things planned for this week.

My brain hurts.

I skipped another class this morning.

Sears is only hiring salespeople for commissioned pay in home appliances and home/garden stuff.
All of this would have been helpful to know before I wasted time applying, wasting time there on Tuesday, and coming back today...

great...
I really really don't want to be doing school anymore...
I'm tired all the time...

It needs to be sunny!

Shit.

I don't feel like things are very good right now. Too much stress.

I was going to write about how much things suck with Maya, research, how I fell behind on research and to catch up on that somewhat I am now more behind than I would like to be on Maya, how I can't seem to do anything right in my art classes and what am I even doing there I should just quit, how I was going to get up early and do more research and then go to the computer lab and get some work done and how gravity didn't want me to, how I am debating (again) not going to my class tonight...

Maybe I'll go to counseling this week.

Damn teachers wanting me to have a relaxing worry-free spring break!

I think I'm going to get this t-shirt since I feel like this most of the time

Countdowns
03.13.06 (11:23 am)   [edit]
11 days 7 hours 40 minutes to Spring Break
72 days 9 hours 8 minutes till I don't have to do Maya Shit for another few semesters if not...
70 days 9 hours 8 minutes (the final is double booked).

Maya makes my brain hurt, especially after about 12 hours.

God I really need spring break!

I worked so hard this weekend that the idea of doing anything other than staying home seems like such a drag.

This Weekend
03.09.06 (4:52 pm)   [edit]
My goal this weekend is to get caught up/ahead on everything.
The way I plan on doing that is by starting to work by noon or so on Saturday, and not stopping until midnight on Monday.

Good plan...
We'll see how that goes...

Needless to say much coffee/energy drinks are in my future.

So, nobody tempt me with trips to the movies (I finally saw Good Night and Good Luck today. Jeremy hated it because he doesn't like to pay attention when he goes to the movies), out to lunch, to the mall, to hunt down a nudist camp, "come over and entertain me," go drinking, look at kitties, no fun!

Oh, and uh, I'm officially engaged, see:
(Not actual size)

That's all for now I guess.

Drama-Rama
03.06.06 (10:40 pm)   [edit]
Wow. Lots of drama today over issues relating to my trying to be lazy that resulted in me screaming, shouting, screetching, cussing and crying.

There is nothing worse than feeling absolutely out of control of a situation.

I Hate Maya 1
03.05.06 (11:12 am)   [edit]
Dear God, I hate computer animation.

I really don't want to go home early so that I can run to school and pull an all-nighter trying to finish my maya shit because I came home for my birthday.

at least I don't have to have another one for a year or two.

That class would be much, much better if I didn't have to actually be at school to do it. I've had classes that have had a lot of work before but I never just absolutely hated them as much as this one. Plus the teacher gives too much work.
I wonder what his RateMyProfessor.com rating is...
Aaah. The lucky bastard isn't on the site...yet. He will be by the end of the semester.

I also hate this shitty keyboard.
At least my dad didn't wake me up for church this morning.

I guess I should get my pants, take my christmas ornaments out of the car, get all the presents and things I want to take home and go home.

Oh, and more fun stuff! The only person in my relationship with any real income coming in only has 2 days of work scheduled this week!
Yaaaay! Life is good!!!
No idea what's going to happen in a few months.

Current Mood:i kinda feel like this picture...a little hungy too. What's on: I Love Toys

Blah Again
03.03.06 (8:11 am)   [edit]
Everyday I want to get on here and write.
But it seems the only word to express my feelings of being stressed, tired, and frustrated is blah.

Nobody cares about the paintings I need to fix, and the Maya Shit I'll have to come home early for Sunday night, or the character designs I have 6 hours to do.

Movie Revues, and stupid homework
03.02.06 (12:29 am)   [edit]
Man. Stuff sucks...still.

I'll be up all night tonight painting the muscle (which smells g'awful) that I have been putting off painting for a week because I recently decided I hate painting.
Incientally that's a

Not

I have to a couple of Maya projects, and I would really like to do it before I go home this weekend

I have to do character designs. Did I talk about that? No. I have to design characters from this Alice Cooper song about two lovers in an insane assylum who after killing the female's husband, chopped him up and put the pieces in plastic bags.

And I have to put together a portfolio. Yippy Skippy.

And I have yet to start researching my paper.

And I want this week (and next Monday) to be over.

I have seen most of 4 movies this week:

In that order. The first was good, if you believe that that much bad stuff could go wrong in one evening. And it seemed to me like at the end they tried to fix everything and make it happy at the end. The second was pretty good. Christopher Guest was in it. And it's good to see a movie that has nudity for both sexes (becuase there are way too many boobs in movies and not enough male bouncing naughty parts). The third was good. Except the man in the Yellow Hat talked way too much; it would have been more effective to express what he was thinking rather than say it. Maybe that's just a Will Farrel thing. And the last one interesting. Lots of adult refrences (starting with a hippy rabbit). John Stewart makes a good comedic villian.

OK. Good break. Per usual, life sucks. And it's time to get back to work.
