I lost 100lbs doing a modified Atkins diet between 2001-2002. Then I hit a plateau. Despite working out faithfully and sticking to making healthy portion-appropriate choices 90% of the time, the scale wasn't budging. (We are talking about 2 1/2 hours a day every day on the elliptical) My doctor and trainer were stumped. I was frustrated as hell... I constantly read diet/nutrition books to try different approaches. Came upon Michael Thurmond's book at the library - 6 day body makeover. In 3 months, I've lost 25 lbs and I haven't been hungry. The food I've eaten hasn't varied much from what I was doing before, but what is different is doing 5-6 mini-meals a day. It's really altered how I look at food. I don't fee like it's a controlling factor in my life anymore. Wishing you luck and happiness. You've got to find a way of eating/exercise that works for you. And stick to it. :) |
