32 more days until the wedding.
And now, a quote, that I think applies to Steve Irwin:
There are some old pilots, and bold pilots, but no old bold pilots.
At the risk of having all sorts of nasty names thrown my direction from practically anonymous people, I think we are saddened and surprised by his death (particularly the specific circumstances surrounding it) but are we really surprised that he died young at the fate of nasty animal?
Another quote:
The future ain't what it used to be
That one from Yogi Berra. If I do get that 2060 cartoon, and I decide to pump it on MySpace (sometimes, you just have to bite the bullet and become a very shameless self-promoter) that might be my quote.
I read a truly disturbing article that I could really turn into something for this thing set in the future.
The Spartan Daily sounds like it could be interested in what I may have to offer. That means I've got to get some shit together if I decide to go through with it. Might be good for me; get a taste of "what it's really like." Deal with deadlines, people who disagree with me but have nothing better than an ad hominem attack to come back with...
Along those lines, I met probably the closest person to a media analyst that I will ever knowingly see at the grocery, a magazine vendor. (For those of you playing the home game, "vendors" are the people representing their a company who restock the shelves). I just couldn't resist asking her what her opinion was on the Enquirers, Stars, Us's, Peoples and other unimportant crap being right at eye level, but the magazines that just might have something important to say, Time/Newsweek are at knee level. She didn't have a good answer for that.
Current Mood: alright
