My mom's sollution to my issue was somehow leaping to the conclusion that I am calling myself a loser because I already have a degree(?!) and yelling at me, and causing me to cry which I thought I was managing to hold off on until I talked to her.
My mom has never been good at the whole warm fuzzies thing. She's better at the throw her hands in the air and shout, "What's your problem?!" thing. My dad's sollution is "e-mail them all, carbon copy their boss, and their boss's boss, set up meetings with them all, and don't forget to pray and ask God why he screwed you again." The comment I received on my portfolio: "You have improved tremendously, but you are not quite at the level we require. Good work ethic." Or put another way: "You've improved a lot, but that's not really saying much." or "You've improved a lot but you still suck." I hate my mom. This is probably the second or third time I've called to talk to my dad, she picks up the phone and somehow makes me feel worse. God stuff sucks. |
