Simpsons fans should watch a lot of classic movies. The writers do. It's backwards to watch a movie and think, "Oh, that's what that scene in a Simpsons episode was a reference to" but I find it happens a lot... It just did... A classic is something everyone wants to have read but nobody wants to read. --Mark Twain I heart dystopias! It is shocking to me that no one has written/made the next 1984 or Brazil. If there was ever a time where one might accurately depict the next dystopia now is it. If you want something done, you've got to do it yourself. Unlike most stories of its kind, this one doesn't start with a bang. This one starts with the carelessness of people just casually letting everything slip away... And Nicholas Cage should play Guy Montang, Michael Keaton should play Captain Beatty, lots of old academy-award winning articulate guys could be Granger, and Abigail Bresslin should be Clarisse. If anyone is askin'. |
